Not only is it easy to set up, but it actually works! I installed this on a 2000 Toyota Camry with no aux port. I have a bluetooth cassette adapter that’s paired to my phone so I can use the car’s speakers. Running the wires for the backup camera was easy, as the wire itself is super long for my little car, so the only thing I needed to worry about is tucking them away. I used t tap connectors to tap into my reverse light (the positive wire is the red one for my car); once connected, the screen automatically gives me a view of the back up camera when i put it in reverse. I just have to adjust the height of the camera to make sure I’ve got a good angle and good view. The clarity/resolution of the back up camera is pretty good for the price as well.
The unit itself is cute and doesn’t obstruct my view very much. It works as well, maybe even better as the expensive screens on our 2021 car. The built in speakers themselves are not impressive at all, but that doesn’t bother me since I am using the car speakers.
Once I set up the unit, it automatically connects to my phone without me having to fiddle with it. The unit turns off and on with the car, just like the built in screens that come factory installed on new cars. Once I turn on my car, the unit starts up. When i turn off my car, it turns off as well.
So far, I’m in love, though only time will tell how this unit will hold up. But as of right now, i do not regret my purchase and I’m actually looking forward to driving to work tomorrow morning….wait, did i just say that?

So far I love this thing, how it hears me inside this LOUD wrangler is beyond me. It works good with the Android Auto & staying connected. Honestly it stays connected better than the 2023 vehicle I drive daily for work some days. It reads aloud texts & gives me the option to reply (verbally) which is nice. Seeing as I drive a standard the ability to do most things hands free is pretty sweet.
Kind of worried that it will stay attached in the cold of winter, but so far so good. Sadly I have a radio that has yet to be installed, so this is a pretty decent temporary stand in.
Would be nice I’d there were pre-drilled holes for strong attachment as an option. This way if the cold weather messes with the tape adhesive (as cold weather is know to do, especially in the Chicago land area) it would have an alternate way to hold it in place.
It’s not super fast, yet does seem to slightly lag but not really enough to cause issues at this point. I’m honestly hoping my mechanic sees this, laughs & decides to put my actual radio in my vehicle! lol a girl can hope!
